Website Item Shop Temporarily Closed

By: SpecialK
The premium item shop on the website is being closed temporarily.
There is a known issue with premium items (such as gang name color changes) not being delivered after being purchased. Please note that the items are still registered, it is simply the delivery that is bugged.
We are actively working to resolve this issue and will make an announcement as soon as the shop is fixed. If you have any concerns about your own recent purchases, please send in a ticket to customer service. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Yes, you read that title correctly. We have the confirmed list of winners from our Most Wanted competition, where we raffled off an Alienware laptop. Who won the laptop? Well, you've waited so long for the news that I assume you've stopped reading this post and skipped ahead to the good stuff. So I'll stop right here and just say:
Congrats to the winners!
(And if you didn't win the laptop this time around, don't lose hope. You just might be interested in our upcoming events, if you catch my drift.)

CrimeCraft Worldwide Availability and Ingame Chat
Posted November 12, 2009 | 12:46AM UTC (302 days ago)
By: LANDodger
I'm sure that most of you have noticed some changes in the population of Sunrise City. CrimeCraft was officially made available to European customers just over two weeks ago, and we've got a lot of new faces in the game as a result. This has a few critical implications for our ingame policies that you, the players, need to be aware of.
Most importantly, the influx of new players also means we have a lot of new languages ingame. Prior to this, I'm pretty sure our most popular languages were English and 1337speak.
The additional players are great for the game, but the lingual diversity also means we have to make some small changes to how our GMs monitor the ingame chat. It's impractical (not to mention silly and ridiculous) to enforce an English-only chat rule when the game is officially available to so many countries where English is not the primary language. Hence, effective immediately, you're welcome to speak in whatever language you like while in-game.
However, that doesn't mean that anything goes, Wild-West style. Our same policies about what you can say are still in effect.
Before we get to our side of the equation on that, I want to remind all of our players that you can blacklist other players ingame. If somebody is spamming, or the chat is distracting you, you're welcome to avail yourself of that tool.
On our end, our GMs are there to uphold the rules and policies, and to help maintain a fun, welcoming playing environment for everybody. If you feel like somebody has crossed the proverbial line, whether it's regarding spam, harrassment, or any other chat-related violation, you need to contact your local GM with an official complaint or file a complaint with the Customer Service department, which you can find by clicking "Help" on the upper-right hand side of this very website.
The bottom line is that we want everybody to have fun in-game, whether you speak English, Spanish, Russian, or Wookie. When somebody is breaking the rules we've set forth in our Rules of Conduct and making your experience less enjoyable, you need to let us know. We're here to serve you, but we need to know how we can help, first.
To recap:
1. Effective immediately, the English-only rule for ingame chat is officially revoked.
2. If you see somebody violating our Rules of Conduct, in any language, contact your local GM or CS department.
(And, as a side note, if you do speak fluent Wookie I'd be willing to pay for lessons. Just sayin'.)
Developer Responses to Your Questions!

A couple weeks ago, CapoDeiCapi started a thread on the forums soliciting questions that you, the community, had for the developers. If you were waiting for answers to some of those questions, wait no more: they're here.
The lineup for this week's questions was: executive producer Matt McEnerney [Matt Mac], senior marketing manager Casey Dickinson [Casey] and Senior Community Manager, CapoDeiCapi (as he's known around these parts).
Here's a sample question to whet your whistle:
Revolution asks:
The ability gap between low and high level characters seems to make the decision to stay or go for most new players. With this in mind, are you going to implement "Level Based Instancing" to help balance the game play and give players a better chance of getting through a round without being perma-owned?
[Matt Mac]: With the introduction of the free trial program, we certainly see the need to improve instancing. We are currently working on better matchmaking, rating systems, and rewards for competing in highly skilled contests. The early improvements have been designed and are in test right now. Release date is TBD.
Check out the full list of answers and replies on this forum thread, and stay tuned for more Ask the Devs threads!
CrimeCraft Review at WarCry.com

Check out the great CrimeCraft review at WarCry here!
Here's a little bit of what journalist Jim Moreno had to say about our game:
"There is a subtle/obvious shift away from the predominant sword-and-sorcery fantasy genre to other styles. Many of these new styles may be renowned IPs, with previous computer and console games already on the market, but others are original - or at least incorporating a fresh insight into some old tried-and-true methods. CrimeCraft is one such game, with its twist on mixing classic MMORPG elements (leveling, skills, and crafting, for example) with some more current gaming trends (achievements, free-to-play and premium account options). CrimeCraft then [filtered]es it all up with quick and easy modes of play, and a suitable number of storyline missions and satisfying twitch-play combat."
If you like what WarCry had to say, make sure you let them know by posting in their forums here!
CrimeCraft: Kingpin Preview

If you're a CrimeCraft player, you should have received an offer a few weeks ago asking to help test the upcoming CrimeCraft: Kingpin application for Facebook and the iPhone.
If you didn't get a chance to participate in the testing phase but still want to see what CrimeCraft: Kingpin is all about, we've got your back. Pocketgamer has a preview of the upcoming app, which includes a talk with Associate Producer Aaron Krasnov about what you can expect from the finalized version and the overall goals of the game.
So if you're looking for a little more info about Kingpin, well ... why are you still reading this? That link's not gonna click itself!
