If you haven't had a chance to win raffle tickets yet through our events, we'll be posting some new opportunities for you in the very near future, so stay tuned to the Events forum.
The second bit of news is that we've added another prize to the raffle list! In addition to the prizes outlined in the original post, we've added a second ATI 3870 X2 Video Card. That brings the overall list of prizes available by raffle to:

7 CrimeCraft T-shirts
15 CrimeCraft Bandanas

PvP Score - Why we made the change

Hey guys,
One thing we didn't do very well in this last patch is to explain that the meaning of the PvP score, AKA Rep, has changed. In order to put in a truly fair balancing system, we needed something more granular than the more abstract character level to measure player skill.
Where before Rep was part game performance and part time in game, we've moved to a system that only reflects player skill. With that change, we needed to adjust scale. That's why high-Rep characters see negative scores after every match. We've essentially divided the scale by 10 to get something more accurate for game balance.
When your score gets down to the new scale, you will stop seeing the drastic negative scores and will instead see scores based on match performance. This means you might go up a little, you might go down a little, but it will be within a given range and it will be based on actual game play. Do well, gain Rep, do poorly, lose Rep.
To get a higher rep, players will have to perform well consistently.
We had hoped the scores would normalize to the new range quickly, but if that hasn't happened by our next maintenance, we will adjust scores manually so the perception of the big negative PvP rank scores can be in the past! Before we make that adjustment, I will post an explanation of the changes you will see.
Remember, this change is part of a larger overall adjustment to make the game more fun for all players, newbs and pros alike!

Today's Patch

Starting with today’s patch, you’re going to notice a number of changes to the PvP UI and game play. The first feature you will probably notice are a number of symbols displayed under the column Difficulty when you select a battle from the PvP UI window.
These symbols represent server strength relative to your PvP ranking.
- Red arrows that point up indicate that the match has players who are stronger than you. More arrows indicate stronger players.
- A green circle indicates a battle with players near your own ranking.
- Yellow arrows pointing down indicate a battle with players who rank below you in PvP.
We encourage players to compete at their skill level when possible, but since that won’t always be possible and because we want new players to have a better early experience (we were all n00bs once, and we need more n00bs!) we’re also rolling out a weighted handicapping system.
You’ll see a message when you’re fighting lower-ranking players informing you of a handicap that can range from 10-30 percent depending on the rank disparity. This is going to bring skill back to the forefront while still ensuring that players get the benefits of gear they worked hard to acquire.
As always, player feedback is very important to us. Please report any issues you encounter through the ticketing system so we can continue to fine tune the system.
Thanks
Team Vogster

Introducing CrimeCraft: Kingpin

You may have spotted the new CrimeCraft: Kingpin forums today and in case you were wondering what that’s all about, Kingpin is the new free-to-play socially networked game coming in December for the iPhone and Facebook. CrimeCraft: Kingpin was developed in conjunction with Big Boat Interactive.
Just like in the original CrimeCraft, Kingpin is all about building a gang, earning a reputation and killing the competition. To expand their empire, players fight their way across Sunrise City, recruiting new gang members, taking over territory and targeting rivals through grudge matches. By completing missions and taking out threats, players gain experience and rep on their way to becoming the ‘Kingpin’ of Sunrise City.
Here’s a list of features you will see in CrimeCraft: Kingpin:
- Free-to-play, socially-networked game for Facebook and iPhone/iTouch, based on the CrimeCraft universe.
- Start a gang then perform missions and contracts to earn in-game cash. Recruit your friends to build your reputation. Ultimately fight your way to the top to become Kingpin.
- Simple but deep combat system gives players control over skills, weapons and armor load-outs to take advantage of varied tactical situations and terrain.
- Achievements in CrimeCraft: Kingpin will unlock special items in CrimeCraft (for the PC) and vice versa.
- In-game messaging system allows players to coordinate attacks against a common foe, and taunt enemies across both the Facebook and iPhone/iTouch platforms.
- Gives players a deeper look into the crime-blasted, post-apocalyptic universe of CrimeCraft.
