Controllers are not currently supported.

There are some emulators you could try but many seem to be flagged by hackshield.

The largest difficulty players have in adjusting to use an XBOX controller for PC games is that they try to emulate the functions of a mouse with the right joystick. This works for situations like menus, albeit poorly, and other such factures that aren't time specific. When dealing with an FPS, you'll definitely be at a disadvantage this way anyways.

That being said there are programs out there such as Pinnacle Game Profiler or something called Jammer (or something like that, I honestly don't know) that you can create a profile for and have it work for the game.

It will work, but not in the way most players are used to.
(btw if this forum doesn't like names of other products, etc, etc let me know or just edit it out, from what I've seen this game has been pretty open to free speech, and I prefer it to be that way makes the game enjoyable)

You must be true Jedi to use something like X-Box controller and be competitive in a game like this. Seriously, they do not allow you to use that device for your own good.

Seriousely... how one expects to compete with a mouse using a stick controller in an FPS setting is beyond me. There is no auto aim assitance here. ;)

Idk I play 3rd Person TT on MW2 w/o assist and wreck, it's all based on personal preference. I know I do very well with an Xbox controller, where as some of my friends are terrible at 3rd Person with a controller. Also in cross the platform games Shadowrun, Xbox dominated computer users. But that's the only real cross platform that I can think of really at the moment, they haven't really done one since that I know of.

All it's about with a controller is setting your sensitivity properly so you're not over/under targeting people when you're shooting.

I could use my professional trackball controller, though I'm thinking that would be harder.

Looks like this: http://gear.ign.com/articles/685/685507p1.html

trackballs have alot of potential if you can get over the learning curve. i had a few friends from quakelive who were absolutely amazing, and they used a logitech trackman marble. the best part about trackballs is arm fatigue is no longer an issue. i never could get used to it tho.
