Have fun, and try the PvE before you go into PvP.

Definitely PVE your butt off to get used to the mechanics. Most people suggest that you get to at least level 25 before starting PvP, doesn't mean that you have no chance of doing extremely well, though. There are games that contain low levelled players only, you can tell my the green dash in the "Difficulty" column in the games selection screen.

New players should be aware that the games' difficulty is determined only by the player who created the game. Green equal sign PvP games only promise you that the person who created it is at similar power-rating to you - no indication is there that higher (or lower) level/rating players are currently present.
This should be something to remember so you don't get confused about way too high/tough players in games that seem appropiate to your skill.

Caution: This poster is extremely opinionated. A lot of people including staff do not always like what she has to say; but when someone has to say something or voice a bundle of thoughts for a greater group of customers - she's usually the person to step up and do so. Proceed into discussions with this person at own risk.

I'm a newb to this game but from what I see the other shooter mmos like Global Agenda and the upcoming APB are similar to this and kind of spring from it. I am just trying it out and I hope I have some fun. Any pointers that I should pick up?
