It depends on what shotgun you/they use and what bonuses ,it doesn't matter what class.

Common sense isn't so common.

Shotgun damage is increased the closer you are to your target. The damage lessens with range. Also, you must consider the way a shotgun behaves. It shoots many pellets in a wide spread. You want to aim so that as much of this "spread" as possible covers your oponents limbs. My opinon of the best place to aim with a shotgun, is directly in the center of your enemy's torso. Blow em to bits!

There are actually several possibilities. For one thing the antogonist in question is probably quite used to the shotgun and very good at shot selection. A direct hit with a shotgun tends to kill instantly although sometimes two are required. Additionally he may be using boosts that increase his sg damage. Also one of the largest issues with online games of this sort is lag/connection. Regardless of whether or not you see the issue there is a relativitely decent chance that one of the two of you is experiencing this somewhat. There are several things to pay attention to in situations like this. After a person kills you the game flashes each characters loadout/setup. This allows you to see his abilities/boosts in addition to weapons, hps and so on. Get used to paying attention to good players setups to see what they are using. This should help give you ideas for new setups to try out to see if you can improve your overall experience.

Can someone explain this situation:
Both player using Pyro class (lvl1). He kill me every time with 1 shoutgun hit, i need like 3. I don't understand, i cant kill nobody with a shotgun, need to many shoots, meanwhile the most of the players just kill me with 1
I tried aiming to the chest, head, etc... same result, can be because of the lag? i really don't understand why..
