Greetings,

I feel really silly with this question, but I do need to figure this out.  I've only played 2 snatch and grab games.  In both games I managed to grab the flag and bring it back...except then nothing happened.  I'm used to in capture the flag games, the flag being captured when I return to the base.  But neither time did it.

Instead the flag just stayed on me, until someone eventually killed me.  I'm assuming I must be doing something wrong.  Something very obvious I'd guess, but I haven't a clue what it is.

Edit: I just realized I put this into the wrong forum.  I apologize for that.

In order to capture the flag, your flag must be at your base. Bring the enemy flag to the place where your flag was placed and you would get the scores.

Ahh.  That explains it.  I think I'm too used to tf2 ctf atm :p.  I was getting quite frustrated when it didn't work twice in a row.  Thank you very much for the answer.

If you could capture flag without having your own flag at base in CC, SNG would be way too easy to capture the flag.

I think it works either way, having played games that did it the other way.  Whether the flag is easier or harder to capture, it still applies to both teams.

I don't mind which way its done honestly, though I wouldn't mind if they explained it in the gamemode description :p

I totally agree :) Forcing the flag in the base allows for a more variety of tactics. Playing an offense heavy stratagy is effective since the flag must be in the base, they cannot steal yours without having there own.

I really like ctf style game modes that require you to have both flags in your base, else it'll be a team fortress scout race :P Not that the tf ctf style wasnt fun, it was just more shallow :)
