Hmm not sure if i should post this here but i guess im still a beginner

This is not about whining or whatever im just wondering how the star rating works in detail,

i mean i have decent gear i get less then 1star pr game maybe 3-4times a week,

yet my star rating is bouncing from 158-178 sometimes i log off lag back in it has changed by 10 ok if it only did that by going up i would get it refresh like you have to do sometimes with gb but cant remember it going up by disconnection or login off/on.

Is there a degrade on how active you are?

does 1 bad match ruin a full weeks play?

even getting 3stars a game 4-5 games in a row might budge it 1star rating up or i might be seing things.

also i have diffrent profiles but ofc u can see the highest star rated profile next to the star rating of the one you are currently using.

I have also taken in account the change of skills ammo and wep that give diff stars each1, but then again if i take of all my gear i lose maybe 30stars

witch isnt close to the combined stars of my equipped items

meh... just been bugging me for close to 2 months now. Do not know if it matters but i got pissed one day and only knifed for 2days (40+ matches) got  a big hit on the rating so might it be the reason its kinda "stuck" now?  

damn i know its alittle whiny but damn would be nice just to know.

I dont care that i wont reach 199 but then again why have 199+ games availible if its an unreacheble goal? when you have the best gear the best attachments, the best "crafted" drugs since Bm drugs dont give u star rating, lvl 50 blue ammo, and ofc all 3 skills with 3star rating each, dont know the kdr but my kills are 

40,530/23,060 i usely make a decent amount of objective points aswell.

So is there a genius out there that can calm my brain so i can stop thinking about this 

 the star rating depends on several things, the combined star rating of all your gear + level + skill contribution. The skill contribution is CAPPED based on the level too. After a point, your star rating will no longer go up, at all. I do not think its possible to have a star rating over 199 at all.

thanks for the reply but i tried to make my post so i wouldnt get a reply like this, i want to know what is the cap for 50 and do you have to have a 10/1 ratio to go past 180?

at the very least could lvl50's tell me if they are having the same problem with the star rating being static most of the time as im typing this im at 171 on my best profile:P this is just pissing me of sry rich if i seem like an [filtered]

Bo0m5l4ang is 171 with ammo and boosts and he too is capped. I cannot see how in the world how anything higher than 180 is even possible, if i have nearly the best gear and boosts and still only hitting 171 and his skill contribution is no longer making my stars go any higher. as long as your kdr is HIGHER than 1 to 1, your star rating will get higher UNLESS you are already the highest possible. You are already capped and only gear will get your star rating higher, but i cant see how gear could possibly get it higher than 180...

 nice so it seems like we have a cap at 180  when 50 if only counting us two would be nice if some1 from dev just made a detailed post about it though =)
