Hello everyone, I'm new to the game through steam and loving it so far though I am still learning the ropes.  I had 2 questions.

1. If I joined through steam before the 5th but it would not let me log in do I still get the bonus?

2. I'm interested in a subscription for the bonus items every month, is it frowned on here like CSers are in other FTP MMO's?

To be reimbursed for your Steam bonus you need to submit a ticket through the support system.

Be patient as response times vary according to the amount of traffic currently in the ticket queue.

As for the bonus items, they are not "uber items", and do little to give advantages in this game.

Thank you.  I like the idea of getting unique looking items in game, though I hate being targeted if it's an unbalanced one. 

Most weapons are standard across the board and regardless of how many "slots" they contain they function the same.  In other words the LMG with only a slot for paint has the exact same stats as the 5 slot (6 including paint) lmg of the same name.  What improves the stats of a weapon are the attachment upgrades you put in each slot ;)

Nice.  I'm going gunsmith atm, but I will have to see what attachments I can find. 

Once you get your hands on some gold bars (lots of ways to earn em free around here) you can pick up a second profession (from the black market).  Engineers make attachments and the engineer craft compliments the gunsmith nicely ;)

Nice, I'll have to start working on that.  will be nice to make guns then upgrade them.

Also new here, don't know much about the Steam bonus, how do I get it?  As for gold bars, I'm interested in earning some, can you explain?
