Ok so i'm a newb sue me, but i am curious and cant find the answer, what is the black box when you die? should i be grabbing them? do i get anything special that i am not noticing? thanks :P

do you mean the ammo dropped by a fallen apponent, or the containers you get in stockpile?

This is an ammo container which players and NPC enemies can drop when they die. As to why it's showing up as black, I'm not entirely certain. Try messing with some of the graphics options and see if that fixes it at all.

For me, the ammo and health dropped in the lower floors of the museum are always black. Every else health is white and the ammo boxes are varying shades of green, from light to dark. My guess would be that the shading is what causes the issue; some spots completely black it out with shadow in odd places.

You can tell by shape which one it is once you have seen a few, flat and square is health while rectangular is ammo.
