The tournament pass is to be allowed into the weekly tournament on sundays. The one that you win from the daily tournament is only temporary, it expires after the next weekly tournament.
You can get better clothes from other players or in containers, though you are more likely to get them from other players.
The items you receive through missions and jobs are generally crap. I wouldn't make that my only source of items, were I you.

stp too easy? wait till u reach lvl15. I'm crying to go back to normal gameplay in PvE matches :(
stockpile gets harder and harder, cuz they upgrade the bots' armors and weapons.
i think it should allow us to be able to choose difficulty in PvE matches. If I wanna play normal, I'll play normal, or Easy, and if I'm lvl 35 I don't want to be stuck with stupid Epic difficulty matches where all i see around me are rockets, grenades, smoke and my body parts flying a hundred different ways.

There's three difficulties that are designed to match the level bracket of the player DVAted. Normal difficulty is catered towards L1-15 and can be run deathless easy past L10.
At Hard difficulty L15-35 you'll see a bit of a rough curve till level 25 but past 25 you're near immortal if you got the proper equipment.
Don't get me started on Epic difficulty - at L35 you might be overwhelmed because you're used to steamrolling easier bots but L45+ you can run setups where you just stand still collecting boxes and run through maps without even having to kill bots because you simply don't get hit from absorb or regen more hp than they can damage you for with a $50 boost and hp regen shirt.
Being able to choose difficulty would be a little weird; it's only good for those entering a new bracket to have to watch their steps a bit - they'll be rewarded some levels later when they outmatch the bots rediculously.

So yesterday i finally played this game for the first time :)
At first i was in the tutorial zone, did all those quests and understood the game mechanics pretty well
(only a small zoom out button on the minimap would be handy, it was all so cropped)
at lev9 I went to sunrise city, but then suddenly everything changed. You had to walk for ages to find the right NPC and finding the right guy to start a game at all took me like 10 minutes. (i had to start a match in a warehouse or something)
Did two runs of stockpile and two where we had to defend the core, but i have to say..... its getting easier everytime. The crates and enemies in stockpile are ALWAYS at the EXACT SAME SPOT.
If you play this game for a couple of weeks you can almost play it while reading a book at the same time.
Another (frustrating) thing. If you do a stockpile with 4 players, why do I only see my own score at the end?
There is a (daily/weekly/monthly?) top10 and then you are no11. But unfortunately you cant see the other players that were in your round. So should we compare ourselves only with the top10? (wont be good for my self-esteem, hehe) (oh, i became 10th once :D )
After that I asked in the LFG chat if someone could help me with a couple of questions, but instead of answering them i received a party invite for the tournnament (div3 i think) and lol.... 3 rounds later we won the tournament ^^
Got 3 items, some coins and a tournament pass (which none of us knew where you could use it for)
And lastly, im lev11 (female) now, but still wearing the default clothes ... ? where can i get better ones? thought some quest would eventually give me clothes, but they didnt
