Denis Khachatran | Lead Programmer
Where are you from?
I was born in Russia on one of those top secret nuclear facilities (seriously) and now I live in Kiev, Ukraine.
What do you do on CrimeCraft?
I'm a coder on almost every aspect of instanced gameplay and the client side lobby. As as a lead developer I also have some input on game design which is a nice perk.
What other titles have you worked on?
I've worked on other titles but none of which can compete with CrimeCraft!
How did you get involved in your game industry role?
While working towards my degree in college, I tried to create a few games, but they all fell through. But then I got the opportunity to take part in the creation of a new company, which successfully produced several interesting projects (I worked on parallel porting console games to third parties). That immediately opened up some new paths for me and I jumped at the chance to work at Vogster on CrimeCraft.
What's your favorite game?
Quake, Call of Duty 4, rFactor, Jak3,… too many to list.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Punk, trip hop, and another genre we call "psychobilly". Fun fact: I had a punk band once upon a time!
What do you do for fun?
I love speed racing and video games. So when I can't find the time do a few laps, I grab a gamepad and kill someone. ( That's normal right? )
