His instincts told him that a place like Sunrise City, as wild and lawless as it seemed, may be the place where he could begin his ascent once more. However, like so many others displaced by the fall, the reality of it all hit Charles as he found himself standing before the walls of Sunrise City with a choice: either he could enter this modern day Sodom and claw his way back to the top, over the backs of everyone else trying to fight for position, or he could wander the wastelands outside the city, taking his chances with the raiders and gangs.
It’s all worked out for Charles, though, as his rise to prominence within Sunrise is nothing short of meteoric. Reconnecting with the tattered network of the fashion world, Charles has been able to take great advantage of the limited trade between the various enclaves and city states, transforming the generic “rags” shipped to Sunrise City by corporate partners into haute couture which is snapped up by a public looking for anything to make them feel “normal” once more.
