Report2

CrimeCraft takes place in Sunrise City, an urban jungle ruled by the law of the street. To survive in this city, you need to be better than your competition, so you can take them out before they even see you coming. Success favors the prepared, and a great deal of that preparation comes in choosing your personal training regimen.

Freedom of Choice

Unlike many other persistent world games, CrimeCraft does not use a class-based system to determine the skills and talents a character will have during their entire career. Players are not restricted to a small selection of skills, unable to ever reach across to another class and train its skills. Instead, players are able to freely choose how they want to play their character. As long as the player puts in enough time to increase their level, any skill in the game can be trained by anyone.

There are nearly 40 different skills to choose from in CrimeCraft, and many of these skills also have three tiers of power, creating a system with numerous ability combinations. Whether you want to be a bomber or a defender, a spy or a looter, there’s a combination of skills that will suit your play style.

Skills make use of an alternative currency, called Skill Points or SP. These SP are gained every level from 2 to 50, granting all players a maximum of 49 SP over the life of their character. Because every rank of every skill in the game costs a set number of SP to train, it is important that players plan their skill progression, carefully weighing the value of all available choices before committing to a course of training.

However, we at CrimeCraft know that one of the major features of an open skill system is its freedom, and we take that freedom to the next level with our respec system. Unlike other games, which sometimes impose heavy penalties or currency fees for character respecs, in CrimeCraft respec fees are minor. Respeccing costs players only a small amount of in-game currency per SP, and this small fee remains constant no matter how many times you respec. Also, there is no limit on the number of respecs you can perform, so players are completely free to play our matches the way they want to play them.

That said, there are three important bits of information about the skill system everyone should know: All skills can be classified as one of two types: Active and Passive. Active skills are generally special attacks, and must be triggered by the player by pressing a key. Passive skills are generally character buffs, and are triggered simply by equipping them and entering an instance. All skills, Active or Passive, are mapped to the F1, F2 and F3 keys by default.

Though players are free to choose their skills however they wish, players can only equip one Explosive Device at a time.

Players are limited to a maximum of 3 skill slots. This is restricted to 2 slots until level 10, at which point the mission “Field Promotion” will be unlocked. Completing this chain of missions will grant the player use of the 3rd ability slot, which is accessed with the F3 key by default.
