I play now CrimeCraft and All Points Bulletin for a while both use the Unreal Engine and i got many FPS spikes when there were explosions from the Grenade Launcher or Rocket Launcher or just many players on one point in the city.

If i turned the Gamma or Brightness to maximum in both games i had much better performance and gameplay in the game.

Its maybe because the high gamma turns out the color of the textures and that gives you extreme high FPS.

Just try it out and let me know if it helps you.

 Hey, thanks for the tip. Same things happen to me. Someone comes running through with a smoke grenade, and I'm done for.

I have a consistent FPS of 8-12. Someone told me they have 100 on average. I almost e-cut them for telling me that. Talk about envy.

I'll be sure to give it a try and post the results, though its a shame that we would have to result to that.

Set the cheat game mod for everyone! :D Then nobody will feel envy and argue here or in game :) Haha and forum will have chance to have more interesting threads than Mr BlaBlaBla uses some "tool" and Mrs noob Lag killed us everytime :) I would like to see any results, because posts like this seem like they do not work proper .... No need to show the community who do not play fair, show it to people who decide about it. We all already know good... Pfff

 Okay, so I had totally forgotten that the game has the option to increase gamma. I had instead done it on my graphics card, and saw no difference in the FPS, nor smoothness in the game's performance. So then I changed the gamma in the Game's option, with no positive result. I hope that it works for the rest of you, however.

i got no problems with fps and i play on 1920x1200, my 4870 runs very well^^ 

 i think i got a very bad ping 8{ 

I finally gave in and lowered both texture and world quality to 1 bar...  Wasn't needed before the patch.
