Hey,

my situation so far is I dowloaded the game via Steamclient, got the game installed. Made a couple of updates and then I tried to start the game by pressing Play. Cursor is then starting to "load" a couple of seconds as if the game would start up but nothing happens, I did this a couple of times then I figured something was wrong. So I went to register an account hoping that this would solve my issue. It didn't. Same thing occurs when I press Play button, nothing happens. Then after my last attempt the Play button suddenly changed into Repair. So I did, and then it went back to Play again. Nothing happens when I press it.

After a bit of research here on the forums I see i'm not the only one with the game-startup issue.

 What video card? You did not include that information in that dxdiag.

Another user already confirmed the windows 8 dev preview is incompatible.
