The original post of my problem:

"When I run the Crimecraft launcher, it just goes minimized instantly - I don't even see it, just goes straight to the taskbar. This is odd as it was working fine two days ago. So I tried reinstalling twice now using the Crimecraft downloader available on the site (it's the 20100601 version) and the launcher shows up for a second or two when I try that, but when the launcher updates to the new version with Russian localization it goes back to the same error. I'm running with no firewall or antivirus active, and I know my system can run the game as I've been playing for months now. Any ideas on a fix or workaround for this? It's immensely frustrating...."

After some work- the solution came to me:

"I think I just got this figured out for anyone who has this problem.

What I did was to right-click the launcher on the desktop, go to Properties, and change Run from Normal Window to Maximized, which brought the launcher back onto the center of my desktop but caused it to freeze. I then terminated the process in Task Manager and went back and changed Run to Normal Window again, and it finally became visible and functional.

I have no idea why this problem originated but at least I figured out how to work around it. Hopefully this will work for anyone else who has this issue as well so they don't waste 5 hours re-downloading and reinstalling."

Please vote this thread up, or if a GM could sticky it so everyone can find it.  I've posted this fix numerous times. (Who says i never helped anyone?)

i have the same problem i hit the the launcher and its up and runing but cant see it it show on my task bar but not on my screen

Looks like launcher does not appear within visible screen zone. Actually it may be fixed just via right click on launcher minimized to taskbar and using the "move" option. Thus launcher window may be moved/dragged around until it become visible.

But you may also try to delete the "…\[user’s documents]\My Games\CrimeCraft\CCLauncher" folder. It will reset launcher window appearance position back to default.
