The Dark Tower/Gunslinger series by Stephen King
Th Dragonlance series will always be a favorite of mine
My top series read of all time though has to be
The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, a Trilogy in five parts, by Douglas Adams
I also have the full host of radio plays based on the books, and for the record, the movie they just made not too long ago by the same name sucked.
Thats my 2cents worth :)

I love The Swarm by Frank Schatzing. Good old Sci-Fi in the current setting. I can also recommend World War Z by Max Brooks.

Lucky one. He has time for reading. I've read non-educational books so long ago...
Maybe something from Glen Cook?

If you like fantasy there is no comparison to Michael Moorcock.
Most people really enjoyed the Elrik books, I did as well but it was Corum: The Coming of Chaos that's stuck with me as the ultimate favorite of any fantasy work. The trilogy of the swords if ever put to a movie would make lord of the rings look like a complete joke.
If you like sci-fi and haven't yet, try the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov.

i recommend "about face" by col david hackworth.....1 of the usa's best battlefield commanders....came up thru the ranks...wasnt an angel...cared about his men....but could win battles.....he was on his way 2 multiple stars.....when he went outside of the army 2 clean things up and fix major problems in the system.....they tried 2 destroy him...very,very similiar 2 the problems in the usa military today in afghanistan and iraq

Hey guys, I have recently found myself in an interesting pickle. I have run out of books that interest me at home. I started re-reading A Song of Ice and Fire (book series by George R. R. Martin, starting with A Game of Thrones. Best book series I have ever read.), but I had to let a friend of mine borrow the books. Any good books you guys recommend?
