I write often about a nerf of knife and bess. Still I think, there should still be the possibilty to use the knife as a primary weapon.

When playing STP I really FEARED the Berserks. The feeling was really good and they were a real threat.

So why not make an ability out of it which allows players to become a berserk too.

Berserk

  • Can only be activated with a pistol equipped
  • Player starts screaming like a berserk for the duration of the ability
  • lasts 10 seconds
  • adds knife dmg bonus
  • lowers stun duration by 50%
  • adds some resistance/health/or maybe absorb bonus to become more defensive

You would think now, combined with Bess this would be too strong.

But I suggest also to adjust Bess to lower knife dmg output. So if you use Bess and this ability you would be +/-0 knife dmg.

Also it would have the advantage for the OTHER players that the crying would be helpful in avoiding or countering a berserk. So it would be a strong, but yet counterable ability.

If there would also be a change to PSP-Rounds ability like I suggested here: www.crimecraft.com/forums/forum-and-game-feedback/topics/Suggestion-PSP-Rounds-Rework

There would be a LMG berserk and a Knife Berserk. So one ability for all those Rambos and Achilles out there ^^

I like the idea, but i think the ability kind of misses on what makes the beserk a beserk, i think instead should be like:

Duration: 10 seconds

Cooldown: 30 seconds

Conditions: Must have Secondary weapon equipped. Drops flag or money, and cannot be picked up until effect is over.

Effect: Increases movement speed by 40%, Absorb +8, Screams for the full duration

After effect: During cooldown, resistance is reduced by 50%

That skill would be the most fun skill in the game :D

I like this idea, but I prefer the bonus just increase your run speed by 25% (Nothing less & nothing more). The 25% speed increase already suffices for you to reach opponent quick enough before you are dead, since the screaming would notify them anyway.

 

Oh btw, they are not crying; they are screaming. =.=

The word 'cry' has 2 meanings in english, there is 'crying like a baby', and a 'war cry' which is exactly what the berserks are doing :)

Crying like a baby would be hilarious tho, and also incomprehensable mumbling about wanting your mother between uncontrolled crying fits :) Hell, you can already run around in huggies :)

What an interesting idea!

A Berserk feature would definitely add some quite interesting new strategies to the game. Would there be some sort of "Counter-Berserk" skill or class as well?

Oh!! I nvr though about battle cry since this game theme isn't about war. I though he was referring to.. you know what I mean.

 

With the number of QQ we often see in LFG channel at CC, it gives me a wrong thought about it.

Yes. I would like to change the PSP-Rounds to a LMG-Berserk.

This would increase rate of fire and slow down movement speed (no more only stationary fire) and also "scream" (but different, so you know what kind of berserk you face).

Since a berserk would run fast, a high rate of fire can stop him still.

I like this idea, i think a skill that increases rate of fire and decreases movement speed could work to counter the beserk class, as well as current skills like fire bullets and electric shield. Maybe after the skill is over you take a 'debuff' as well, like reduced rate of fire 'as your gun cools'.

I love this idea for another class. Add bess for one of its drugs and increased endurance. I think your onto something :)
