Imo, lame game mode, for a tournament of course, people play whatever they want in public, but this is kinda like a thumb war, even when you win you lose. You'd think it would be nice to test people without their boosts, but rly taking out the ability to heal between fights and the EDF just calls for bad game.

It just gives an unfair advantage to those who went out and bought those card armors. They get Hp regen and alot more HP. I always hated people using those in no boosts fight before and I still hate them now, it's kinda not the idea...your not supposed to take out the boosts but then put them on your armor.

The friendly fire mode is ok, but this is just weird [filtered].

I vote remove from tournament cycle.

some of us rather enjoy those modes. underpants events are among one of my favorites. is that weird?

Yeah I love pillow fights as well, but not in tournament.

It's actually a good idea by vogster. It's just players noob it up by spaming rockets and gls. In yesterdays tournaments, everyone in the other team was spamming rls and gls, and there was no way to protect yourself from it. If they are going to make no boos/ability tournaments in the future, they should also prevent players from using explosives.

Yep that's one of the issues. I'm just not too fond of removing half the game and calling it a game mode you know, I mean you can do whatever you want for the lolz but not in tournament please.

PS: I think what you did having maps be random instead of game mode was awesome.

Disallowing cardsets in tourneys would do more to balance them out than removing abilities/boosts, IMO. It seems like CC is moving towards more cookie cutter builds than not though.

I think this is a good tourney idea, who gives a [filtered] if people are using cardsets.  If you are getting owned by cardsets, simple solution, go get a set yourself.  They are not any more expensive than the gear you normally use for tournament, or the new class set.  I just bought speed demon a month ago from cards on the auction house and the cost was only about 280k.

I didn't really get owned but when I get him down to 1 hp despite him having the advantage I'm pissed, yes it happened, it wasnt always 1 but..anyway, I personally don't find the idea of a game mode where everyone has this very same build all that attractive. Let's go get an M16 and play de_dust against other people with M16s all day yay

Well, I agree that card skins are annoying in that Tour Mode.

But in general I agree that this is a good idea.

BUT: 

As mentioned before, RLs and GLs should be forbidden in a No Skill, No Boost Tour. Then I would sign any petition to have that new mode permanently.

Or just implement a GL that can Setup a Dampending field on impact ^^

Well if I'm the only one who doesn't like it I guess they should keep it, along with those fixes though.

Speaking of no explosives, there are no explosives tournaments coming up. Should be renamed Raze+LMG tournament *wink25times*. What makes LMGs (or maybe I should say rask LMG to be honest) kinda balanced is that the other heavy weapons are damn powerful as well, RL is damn awesome for exemple. Remove them and you know what you'll get. I can already see myself raging at this next game mode. Thank god they didn't make a knife only tournament...
