GPS nade throwing... every time they throw one it hits you directly in the face :)

1) You are not imagining this. I've seen the double slash many times. And often I throw out a knife throw but the enemy does too...after I threw out mine...and his hits me before mine hits him. Enemies definitely stike faster with knife attacks which is why I reserve melee kills as a last resort action.
2) I noticed the same thing. I stand in a room and not one PvE enemy sees me. I cloak from that exact spot and they all come running. It's a good way to get killed imo.
3) They should totally put that farsight into this game. I'd love to see an RTS MMO based off the Perfect Dark 64 universe. :)
4) Noticed the same thing myself. Though, sometimes in hard mode they will attack you right off from spawning in certain locations so you have to be careful.
5) Not a sniper but I noticed the same thing. I also have my CC set to lowest Quality settings.

1. I have experienced this and too find it annoying.
2. Same experience, and what's worse is when you are trying to defend against an attack, you have to wait until you decloak before you can attack back.
3. This goes for many enemies. Many seem to have perfect weapons with perfect aim. Being able to shoot through a 2" hole from a long distance away, it's like magic.
4. I really noticed this during some of the Bleedout missions. The mission where you have to search for "hidden" items the NPCs keep spawning as soon as you turn your back and hit you immediately.
5. The magical, if you can't see them you can't hit them. I have an older system that I have to play on low settings. I really notice this on the PvE LXM Port map. One of the spawn points is right in front of an NPC...as soon as you take one step, you get a bullet or a rocket. That same area around the corner from some pallets, 3 NPCs are hidden until you turn the corner. The only trick I found is to time a grenade throw and run around the corner to get them to pop or the grenade will go off with none of them getting hurt.
6. I have also noticed that NPC pop changes based on whether you are zoomed in to your sights. This is just for sniper rifles or scoped weapons. Even though you can't see them, as soon as you zoom in they appear and start firing at you. Zoom back out and they disappear until they start running after you.
7. NPC follow you all over the map. If you sprint through an area of mobs and get to the other side of the map...if you wait long enough they will eventually find you. I've noticed high level players using this to their advantage. If you die, the NPCs start running back to their original locations targeting anyone else they see as they go.
Infidel defilers. They shall all drown in lakes of blood.
Now they will know why they are afraid of the dark. Now they learn why they fear the night.

I love pve-enimies for their grenades. 3-4 enimies throw grenades at the same time into you and you dead, cause 1 grenade take 29 damage))
P.S. Sry for my bad english, but i think you understand what i mean =))

Today I found myself surrounded by 4 enemies...normally not a big deal...an easy fight. But this time, all four were throwing shock grenades. One would throw, three shoot. Then another would throw while the other three shoot. And so forth. I wouldn't even finish the current shock freeze before being shocked again.

Liking the responses this thread has generated thus far... ![]()
I agree to all the additional thread comments made here!
GPS Nade throwing seems to be the most irksome PvE enemy trait for most players! I'm not sure about this godlike 'nade precision myself... Sure I've been blown to bits many a time. Sure, it is annoying to ALWAYS have to roll aside EVERYTIME they throw a nade. But I've actually come to like this feature as a means of heightening my reflexes. That and the fact it also exposes them for a headshot for a second before I roll away to cover...
Oh, and + 1
for both Wartoc's tips & for PretoreDeMorte : I love the Perfect Dark Universe MMO idea!!!!

I'm going to go ahead and move this to the feedback section of the forums. Keep the constructive criticism coming. ![]()

Hard is hard but normal is pretty easy. The critisism is correct but if they "fix" this hard won't be hard anymore.
But in case they do fix ... random spawning is annoying, same goes for grenades which seem to work like magnets with 110% accuracy.

Let's make this clear: This isn't a rage post/thread. This isn't for complaining about unfair PvE advantages/disadvantages which demand the urgent attention of the Devs. This isn't even about other PvE players or their container-stealing habits. This is simply about the odd quirks or pet grievances that we've all come to know and love...
Let's see how many we end up listing. Note: I only ever play in HARD - I am unaware if anything changes within easier difficulty settings. I'll start us off with 5 of my own;
1. Enemies pull off faster knife attacks than the player.
I'm sure I'm not imagining this. Unless I knife lunge (which has an uncanny knack of missing crouching targets), then it seems a knife slash on a wary enemy will often prompt a double-slash death before you can strike a 2nd time. So it's now "Lunge or not at all" in my book.
2. Camoflage/Invisibility Sends Out "I'm Over Here!" Signals.
Once you understand that being 'invisible' in CC doesn't mask your footsteps nor your movement's visual distortion, I suppose it shouldn't come as a great shock to find out that as soon as you cloak, all engaged enemies in your vicinity suddenly swarm into your position (and WILL knife you if they pass by too close). Hoping to escape and heal isn't really the best option. Drawing out mobs into a more advantageous spot for ambush is however a plus... Still, I get nervous shivers and utterly paranoid if I use that skill in PvE nowadays!
3. Clearshots can see through walls. I call Thermal imaging hacks.
As annoying as it is to deal damage to a clearshot and have a single bullet shave off the majority of your health in the crossfire, it's far worse to attempt hiding from the aforementioned clearshot. They have this eerie ability to shoot through walls and other detritus and still hit you with pinpoint accuracy. I wish I had their sniper scope as an attachment. Reminds me of the Farsight from Perfect Dark 64.
4. Spawning bots are blind as a bat.
This only really seems to be noticable in Safeguard maps - notably Mun. Supply. Enemies spawn from any of their pre-designated spots and, like lemmings, allow anyone to simply trail and knife lunge their unresponsive digital souls. The quickest way for a Genocide if ever I've seen one. The only downside to anyone using this to their advantage is if a fellow 'helpful' player begins shooting at them while you are preparing your spree in collecting skulls... A most frustrating instant-death all thanks to that well-intentioned teammate - or was he/she?
5. Popping into existence.
This isn't the same as a previously 'cleared' area suddenly spawning bots for an untimely demise. No, this is when you already know that the area should be infested with enemies, but you have to get quite close for them to actually suddenly appear onscreen. I'm note sure why this is or whether or not it is linked to having my CC settings on the lowest possible options of quality. It's just a pain for a sniper to have to get closer when you had a perfectly decent viewpoint elsewhere. Ok. Perhaps not a major source of annoyance, yet still breaks the immersibility of it all.
But PvE, I still
thee for all thy faults!
