Report2

I believe i seen this topic somewhere but can't find it.

So far I have had to walk a lot of players through how to set up your gang for TW.

In my discussions I have noticed quite a few things missing or lacking.

1) Advanced warning

The system pops a little message i believe 5 min before the registration starts. This needs to be extended. The tournaments notify players 2 hours in advance. The TW should do the same.

2) Advanced info

You can not see how many players are needed for a map until AFTER registration starts. This is stupid! It needs to be on the picture of the territory just like the game style is, or at the least in the description.

3) More public knowledge

This should be done by introducing a TW Battle Board (kinda like the pvp or rep boards). The main idea is to have a place where players can click an "info" tab and see a detailed description on how to manage(if gang leader) or how to subscribe.

4) TW History

Using the above mentioned battle board, this would be a perfect opportunity to introduce Territory history. Nothing too descriptive, just how many times a battle has taken place over each territory.

5) Ease of Access

There needs to be a keyboard shortcut that takes you straight to the Global Map. Or at the least, the local map. The current Map key is useless, imo. with the ability to click on the NPC that you wish to travel to and have the 4 red arrows overlay your screen is used way more often. you cannot click on anything on the overlay. Remove the overlay and use the M (default) key to bring up either the global or local map.

6) BM Discounts

Not sure how much this was thought through but has issues already. First, What is the tiebreaker? Second, Gang leaders can only communicate through the forums. Have a message pop up after the wars have ended where the gang leader types in what they want. Third, What's the point if a mod can veto the request. Please post a list of BM items that will never be allowed to be discounted and be done with it.

7) Advanced battle warning

Find someway for gangs to know they are about to be attacked. This is simple and should have been done from the beginning. All is needed is this... Change the colors of the icons during registration, A yellow gun means you are registered for attacking, Green means you have enough players registered. A red gun on a territory you own means enough players have registered to attack you. This gives you a chance to defend your turf. This doesn't have to tell you which gang or which players, just that you will be under attack. but don't screw it up by giving warning to the attackers. The attackers shouldn't be allowed to change locations at the last second just to avoid a fight.

that's it for now...

Yes as mention in our other thread there are a lot of issues with Gang Wars at the moment, it seems to be and afterthought when your in game rather then the main feature.

I was going to sugest mabie Gang wars needs a War room, A location that show the current control over each zone stats etc and can be accesed via any area in the city, to make it seem more official, have big billboards outside the entrances showing what it is and when its on, and by having a location to go to, it would make it seem more important than the Tornaments (which it is)

Then all you need is a window like the tornaments that explains all the rules etc, and has an optin to travel to this war room, just an idea
