Interesting ideas.
Once or twice, huh? It used to be a problem and subject of many complaints. Interesting how time changes.

I would like to see crouching, however I don't think it would serve much purpose. With PSP rounds as they are, they turn the player into a turret. You may have only been killed by them once or twice, but PSP rounds are wonderful for fending off large groups if they are not actively working together to take the enemy down, or wait for the PSP protection period to wear off.

I think implementing #3 would work well.
It seems to me that it would at least make a stationary player more of a threat without making the user 'OP' and fits perfectly with the weapon type.
Oh, and can I get a thumbs up for saying "Point 3 = Battlefield Series"? ![]()

Thats how I use it all right. they have to be damn close though. I keep forgeting to reload before I use it which is a stupid mistake. haha!

I would like to hazard a guess and say ability number four comes from the Project Reality mod.
To be honest the PSP rounds work fine as they are. I'd be running it in Tourney if I played tourney.

You forgot to include AR in the modification abilities.
My thoughts on PSP rounds:
Useless. Its ok in some PVE matches but overall is a HUGE letdown. Everyone elses gun ability is excellent but the LMG ability is useless. I would never...NEVER consider using this ability in PVP. Ever.

Retarded cousin to the HVI rounds and the cluster brothers. (rocket and grenades) The 'PSP rounds' ability is a great way to tell everybody on the field "Hey, I want to be Rambo when I grow up, but hitting stuff is harrwwwwd!"
Now that thats out of the way, Its rare to find anybody in PvP that actually uses this ability. I've been killed many times by HVI snipers, Cluster nades and Cluster Rockets but never recounted being killed by PSP rounds more than once or twice. (Ever)
Although it is a great temporary resitance buff, the standing hip-fire position fails to be effective past 15-20m, the rate of fire stays constant on all 3 lvls (20+), and a sitting duck position would literally be better than this. (because you would be "sitting")
That being said, I have conjured some ideas to making PSP Rounds a beneficial choice for the support/defensive gunners out there.
I have used PSP Rounds and have only found them remotely usefull for those unexpected ambushes.
Then again, I am just theorycrafting here...
(Thumbs up to anybody who can answer which games got me the ideas for #3 and #4.)
