Infidel defilers. They shall all drown in lakes of blood.
Now they will know why they are afraid of the dark. Now they learn why they fear the night.

No, no I don't think thousands of other legitimate companies outside of major banks use Pyramid/Ponzi schemes as a business model. This is essentially a pyramid promotion rather than scheme, which makes it only slightly less offensive. It's still embarassing.
I played CC when NBR grenades made the bots ignore you, and boro glass made you a rich man. That- and paying attention to the vendor prices on items on the AH.

Oh, that's what that whole "Patron" thing is. Thanks for the guide on that, believe I tried to look the other day and there wasn't a damn thing about it anywhere. Vogster hides it so people don't get more free gold bars?! Conspiracy.

This is just standard Vogster style business.
Who remembers when they had a quote from a preview they wrote about thier own game as a review on the front page?

So who/where is all this set up and what reason/benefit would an associate have to even participate?

Your Patron is honor bound to helping you, or it's another way to say thank you to someone who already has.

I just got a message regarding this and it was mentioned that there isn't anything currently out there that people can turn to for information regarding the Patron system.
The Patronage system includes three types of people: Patrons, Associates, and Prospects.
Patrons are people that other players select to support by contributing gold bars to them. This doesn't mean that gold bars are removed from your account if you select a patron, but they will get 10% of what you do as a "kick-back."
Associates and Prospects are the people underneath a Patron, the difference between the two being that Associates have contributed to their Patron while Prospects have not.
For those of us who are visual learners, this pretty much explains it all.
