I didn't have crimecraft installed through steam, which is required for the promotion. There is a way around this without redownloading the whole game:

* First Load up steam and navigate to crimecraft in the steam store.

* Click the button to install crimecraft, and after it starts downloading, pause the download.

* Completely close steam from the task tray.

* Open 2 explorer windows, in the first window, navigate to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Vogster Entertainment\CrimeCraft\' In the second navigate to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\crimecraft\'

* Select all Files in the 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Vogster Entertainment\CrimeCraft\' and copy them to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\crimecraft\', when asked, overwrite any file.

* Rename ClientLauncher to SteamLauncher

* Load back up steam, and your download will be finished in about 30 seconds. Click play and it is already patched and ready to go.

Now, when you get in the game, press Shift+tab, and click web browser. Navigate to 'http://www.crimecraft.com/forums/' and log in. Your account should immediately show the promotion applied. 

I had to relog after this to see my gold bars.

odd it worked for 2 different gang mates as well as myself. Maybe it's touchy.

can anyone confirm if the steam bonus promotion is still valid? they did not say how long would it last... but I'm not getting anything :(

it ended on the 16th i believe :( sorry man
