Uninstall the game, delete all registry entries and make sure there are NO traces of CC on your computer.  Go to Cnet.com and download it from there.  I spent 2 weeks trying to get the game to install from the CD.

Im having all sorts of problems getting CC to a playable state.  Ive tried many times installing from the CD and I still cant get the game to patch properly and launch. Is anyone having luck wth the download vs installing from the CD?

Ok I tried everything that was suggested.  The updater showed time remaining as 7 weeks?  I uninstalled and reinstalled and I still cannot get past this.  I cant send a ticket in about this until another ticket regarding a promo card gets sorted.  Any other help would be appreciated!

I forgot to mention that I have run repair numerous times and still came up with the same result.  I also always run programs in XP compatibility mode and run as admin.  I am running a repair now and it has less than an hour left so I will report ...

I installed the game from the CD and I cant get past this point.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled, run as admin and downloaded the new launcher and copied it over the old one.  I click on update and cancel shows for a few seconds then back to update.   Version is 0.18.07.59030
