If gold coins were rewarded for the daily it'd to way to easy to get the gear. Weekly isn't the best choice either as it takes to long to get the gear but it's the best and only alternative availible.

There is the players council, though I now very little about them and exactly what kind of communication they have with the CC team but it is there. But yeah I agree it would be nice to have something like this on a larger more open scale

In the expansion on my EU keyboard ' which is shift used for the @ symbol opens the console. This makes logging in a bit annoying when you to exit to copty paste the @ symbol.
