After pressing play and getting the server & character select screen, what does it mean when there are  "10 characters in the  server"?  Are there literally only 10 characters playing in the server?

After installing succesfully have you tried entering your email address & pw at the opening game screen

I had the same problem.  With me it took without my knowledge.  Reenter your email address & password at the game opening screen.  It should work.
